What is Sky Link
A multiplayer drone shooter blending what we love from Call of Duty with flight sims.
Challenges
Accounting for verticality when most shooters only solve for the horizontal plane.
Designing a AAA experience within the scope and capabilities of a AA team.

Attachment System

Tools Creation

Procedural spline systems quickly generates thousands of models at less of the performance cost of manually placed models. And bends them along the spline.
AI and Behavior Trees

Initial AI patrolled point to point only shooting after arrival and only while idle.
Now AI investigates sounds, investigates locations where damage came from, and last seen location if line of sight is lost. If a player is seen, while patrolling or idle, AI will move into range and start shooting. In between all of these decisions, it considers going for health pickups vs the health and number of present enemy players.
Prototyping - Modular Racing System
A modular checkpoint system allows us to create a racing circuit of any length on any level. Each checkpoint has attributes that can be tuned by the designer.
Prototyping - Ping System


Pings are context aware; color coded ping system works for multiplayer.
